CPE has a new poll! We want to know about your biggest challenges going into the second half of the year, and how they may have changed since January. In December’s survey, 60 percent of respondents cited interest rates and capital availability as their biggest hurdle going into the new year. In a similar vein, 25 percent of respondents listed a potential economic slowdown as their chief concern, and the remaining 15 percent were evenly torn between inflation-related pressures, supply chain hiccups and other challenges.
In last month’s poll, we asked readers about the asset classes they are most interested in investing in beyond the office sector. Nearly half of respondents—48 percent—identified multifamily as piquing their interest, while 20 percent named industrial as their most worthwhile future investment. Continuing the trend of wanting to invest in strong-performing asset classes, 16 percent and 14 percent of respondents named life science and medial office spaces, and retail centers as their investment priority, respectively.
