An office building in Bergen County is finding new life under a plan to renovate and repurpose it as an adult daycare facility.
Brokers with Avison Young represented ownership at the 67,000-square-foot property, at 2 Christie Heights St. in Leonia, in a lease with MFR Enterprises. The operator now plans to open the facility known as Lily Life in fall 2024, seeking to meet the growing demand for quality care for underserved seniors in the area.
“There is a significant need for senior care in northern New Jersey and we’re pleased that this new facility will help meet the continued needs of this population,” said Marc Krieger, a senior vice president with Avison Young. “The property is ideally located near major thoroughfares and central neighborhoods providing centralized access for those requiring the specialized services of the tenant.”
Krieger, who is based in AY’s Morristown office, said Yoomi Nam of Hyst Realty represented the tenant. He noted that the two-story building is across from Leonia High School and surrounded by both residential and industrial properties.
“Demand for quality care for adults is growing,” said Michael Reuten, owner of MFR Enterprises. “The borough of Leonia understands the benefit of having a resource like this in place and we look forward to serving this community.”
