Office REITs have taken a major hit since the Covid-19 lockdowns three years ago. Their stock prices have plummeted, which has translated to an increase in the capitalization rates the market places on their properties. Cousins Properties Inc. of Atlanta, which owns properties in seven major markets, all in the Sunbelt, also got clobbered.
