Atkins, Woodmont ink 2,000 sq. ft. deal to bring Pilates studio to Washington Township – Real Estate NJ

A fitness franchise has joined the tenant roster at Washington Square Town Center, a 35-acre mixed-use development in Gloucester County’s Washington Township.

Its developers, Atkins Cos. and Woodmont Properties, announced Friday that BODYBAR Pilates will open this month at 253-261 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road. The business is set to occupy 1,980 square feet at the complex, whose retail portion is now at full occupancy, marking the first New Jersey location for the Fort Worth, Texas-based operator.

“We are excited to open our studio and bring the BODYBAR Pilates method to the Washington Township community,” said Jaclyn Bates, the business’ owner and operator. “We searched throughout South Jersey and feel this is the ideal location to open our studio and make a positive impact in the lives of everyone who steps through our doors.”

Located about three miles from the Atlantic City Expressway, Washington Square Town Center has 330 apartments, 100 townhomes, an assisted living facility and a modern 40,000-square-foot medical office building anchored by Rothman Orthopaedic Institute. The property also has 20,000 square feet of retail and medical space spread across two standalone buildings, plus a 10,000-square-foot medical building that is fully leased to Axia Women’s Health.

Atkins described BODYBAR Pilates as a modern fitness studio providing group, private and semiprivate classes deeply rooted in Pilates principles. It joins Washington Square alongside tenants such as Santucci’s Original Square Pizza, What’s The Scoop, Bison Coffee Company and Strive Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation, among others.
