Chicago’s central business district office market had 177,609 square feet of positive absorption during the second quarter, according to Transwestern. That marked the first quarter that absorption was positive since the last quarter of 2021. But the market remains stressed, the brokerage warned. The latest leasing was driven by three large transactions, all involving space in recently constructed buildings.
