Industrial broker Stephen Shoemaker has joined CBRE as a senior vice president, with a focus on multimarket occupiers in the asset class.
The firm said Shoemaker, who will partner with vice chairmen Jeffrey Babikian and David Opper, brings deep experience with tenants and owners in areas such as food and beverage, third-party logistics, bulk distribution and trailer parking, among others. He has also represented prominent property owners such as Link Logistics, Brookfield, Realterm and Prologis Inc. as well as tenants such as JB Hunt, NJ Transit and Goodwill.
“Stephen is a recognized leader implementing top-tier service strategies to numerous Fortune 500 companies and an excellent addition to our multimarket account services team,” said Jeffrey Hipschman, senior managing director of CBRE’s New Jersey operations. “His client base includes a diverse array of leading industrial occupiers and owners.”
Shoemaker moves to CBRE from Cushman & Wakefield, which he joined in 2017 and where he specialized in industrial logistics and supply chain tenant and landlord representation, rising to the rank of executive director in 2023. He now joins a team with Babikian and Opper, whose past clients have included Mercedes-Benz, GAF, Sony, LabCorp, Daimler, Hertz, KPMG and Siemens, among others.
“This is a great opportunity to launch the next phase of my career working with some of the top advisory experts in the country at CBRE,” Shoemaker said. “I look forward to adding my unique industrial and logistics expertise to this team as we seek to provide multimarket, multidisciplined real estate advisory to our broad array of clients.”
