Diversified Properties has started construction on a 32-unit apartment building in Jefferson that will mark the first piece of a new luxury multifamily property off Route 15.
Slated for completion next fall, the initial project will consist of one- and two-bedroom homes ranging from 855 to 1,216 square feet with built-in den spaces, according to a news release. Plans for the Hellers Lane property also call for amenities such as private garages, an indoor fitness center, outdoor lounge and grilling areas and individual storage units available for residents.
The groundbreaking comes around nine months after Diversified announced that it had acquired the nearly 10-acre site for what will be known as Jefferson Place.
“Our multifamily investment philosophy has always been driven by a focus on finding underserved markets like western Morris County and leveraging our creativity to bring communities like Jefferson Place to life,” said Nick Minoia, founding and managing partner of Diversified Properties. “We are excited to celebrate this milestone as we begin the process of creating a space that residents can be proud to call home for years to come.”
Jefferson Place is the latest piece of the Montville-based firm’s growing multifamily pipeline, which also includes a 60-unit project under construction in nearby Wharton, plus the 58-unit luxury multifamily building in Morristown known as 30 Court. It has also built 188 units in Newburgh, New York, and 270 units in New Windsor, New York, while it recently announced the completion of a 393-unit luxury property in Union known as Summit Court.
