The Short Hills-based developer launched pre-leasing at 147 Columbia in the Morris County municipality. The boutique multifamily rental community features 126 luxury apartments as well as lifestyle amenities.
Located at 147 Columbia Turnpike, the property offers one- and two-bedroom apartments. Garden Communities described the residences as spacious and light-filled, with floor plans from 861 square feet to 1,535 square feet. Interior features include:
- Gourmet, center-island kitchens
- Walk-in closets
- In-unit washers and dryers
- Individually controlled heating/cooling systems
- Reserved parking garage and EV charging stations
- Remote keyless entry
Nearly every home has a private balcony and select units include dens.
Community amenities include: a fireside entertainment lounge, fitness center and yoga room, coworking space and landscaped grounds with outdoor seating.
Changing spaces
The two-building community occupies a former office building site. Construction got started at the property last May.
“Sustained demand for high-quality multifamily housing continues unabated,” Garden Communities Managing Director Scott Loventhal said at that time. “We took full advantage of this well-located site to create an intimate rental community in a desirable municipality with limited new housing inventory.”
The pedestrian-friendly location is walkable to downtown Florham Park. The property is also near shopping, dining, entertainment, offices, health care and other facilities.
It is the second Garden Communities project under development in Florham Park. Loventhal also leads the team behind Parc North. That collection of 49 luxury townhomes and carriage home-style residences sold out at the end of February.
Over the next few years, Garden Communities says its pipeline will deliver “dozens of new communities in the tri-state area.” Additional properties currently leasing and coming soon include The Metropolitan in Springfield and Millbrook Horizon in Edison, according to the company’s website.
