Goldfish Swim School has added a new location in New Jersey after taking more than 10,000 square feet along Route 1 in Edison, in a newly announced deal by Pierson Commercial.
The operator, which is leasing the space from Atlantic Realty Development Co., is now open at the Edison Woods Shopping Center after a four-month construction buildout. The new 10,401-square-foot location at 1004 Route 1 places the school alongside tenants such as BJ’s, Chuck E. Cheese, Optum Medical and Dollar Tree, among others, providing year-round swimming lessons for children ranging from four months to 12 years old.
Pierson Commercial Director Gary Krauss represented ownership, while Frank Schiraldi of Davis Commercial represented the tenant.

“Goldfish Swim School is a terrific new use for the already family-friendly Edison Woods Plaza,” Krauss said. “The center is a great place for parents and children … and this Goldfish school will cover a wide range of towns. Route 1 is the primary corridor between Princeton and New York City with over 80,000 vehicles a day passing by.
“As a Jersey Shore guy who spends a lot time in and around the water, I was especially proud to help bring together a deal that not only enhances my client’s property, but will teach the local kids a valuable and lifelong skill. Learning to swim and be comfortable in the water isn’t just fun — it could save your life or the life of someone else someday. I wish the Goldfish team great success!”
