A developer has leased more than 845,000 square feet at a new industrial park in Hamilton, securing a tenant for the final piece of the project near the Trenton border.
According to multiple reports, DMI Inc. is taking space at 1365 Lamberton Road under a deal with Hilco Redevelopment Partners. It is the second deal in recent months at the 1.23 million-square-foot campus, which sits on 90 acres between New Jersey Turnpike exits 7 and 7A, following United Distribution’s 384,895-square-foot commitment late last year.
Hilco developed the two-building complex after acquiring the former Mercer Generating Station property in December 2018, according to the firm’s website. A brochure for the development lists JLL’s Nate Demetsky and David Knee as the leasing team for what’s known as HRP Mercer Logistics Park.
DMI Inc. reportedly will occupy 845,078 square feet.
“Our goal with every redevelopment project is to return economic vitality to these dormant industrial sites, giving them a new purpose and to generate new strategic opportunities,” Roberto Perez, CEO of HRP, said in a description on the project’s website. The firm noted that the property, located in the heart of the central New Jersey industrial market, has access to a strong labor pool and allows tenants to serve the Northeast Corridor.
