Nearly two dozen organizations supporting veterans, military personnel and their families are benefiting this year with the help of a golf outing that recently marked its 20th year, drawing broad support from companies across the state’s commercial real estate sector.
The tournament’s hosts, Iron Hill Construction Management Co. and J.G. Petrucci Co. Inc., announced that the latest Iron Hill Charity Golf Open raised $382,000, surpassing its goal of 380,000. The event has now raised more than $3.6 million over the past two decades, allowing it to distribute more than $1.9 million to 30 nonprofit veteran and military-focused organizations.
The most recent outing, held Oct. 9 at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, has led to more than $210,000 being distributed to 22 local and national organizations, according to a news release. The open continued its record of selling out the event with 261 registered golfers and 350 attendees for the luncheon, benefiting from two special 20th anniversary sponsors that helped make the day possible, Provident Bank and Link Logistics.
“Provident Bank is proud of its longstanding commitment to the annual Iron Hill Charity Golf Open,” said Walter Sierotko, Provident’s executive vice president and chief lending officer. “The event’s mission to raise funds to improve the lives of our local military service members, veterans and their families is consistent with our guiding principles and our belief in giving back to the communities we serve.”
Britt Winterer, Link Logistics’ chief development officer, added; “Link Logistics is committed to contributing to and creating a positive impact within our communities, and the Iron Hill Charity Golf Open is an excellent example of how we can band together to help others. Supporting veterans, military personnel and their families is not only a source of pride for me but also a significant aspect of our firm’s collective mission to make a meaningful difference.”
According to Iron Hill and Petrucci, the proceeds support programs that address medical and rehabilitation expenses, mental illness, addiction, counseling, job training, homelessness and poverty of veterans. The golf open has yielded contributions over the past 20 years to the following organizations:

The 21st annual Iron Hill Charity Golf Open tournament will be held at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club on Oct. 14, 2024, with registration opening in late spring 2024.
