Larken Associates has broken ground on a new 120-unit multifamily project in Pohatcong, continuing its rapid expansion in Warren County and across the region.
Known as Monte View at Pohatcong, the property at 1001 Monte View Drive is slated to welcome its first residents in fall 2024. Plans call for three multistory, garden-style buildings and one four-story, elevator-served building with a ground-level clubhouse, as Larken aims to lure renters with a location just off Interstate 78 and less than a mile from the New Jersey and Pennsylvania border.
The nine-acre site will also include upscale amenities with a pool, a dog run and a fitness center, according to a news release.

The start of construction at Monte View at Pohatcong follows Larken’s completion of projects in Bordentown and Readington, where it delivered a combined 526 apartments. The properties capped off nearly four years of robust development that created 1,022 homes across several communities, the firm said, noting that its residential portfolio now has some 2,500 owned and managed units across 19 assets in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
