Murphy Schiller & Wilkes LLP has announced the addition of three attorneys to its growing commercial real estate practice.
According to the Newark-based firm, Jessica R. Brenner joins its team as counsel and will focus on transactional commercial real estate matters, representing clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition and leasing of assets such as industrial, office, retail, medical and multifamily properties. Prior to MSW, she was a managing senior associate at a New York City-based law firm, where she oversaw the firm’s junior attorneys and staff in the real estate department.
Brenner received her law degree from New York Law School and her undergraduate degree from Kean University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She will receive her master of laws in real estate development from the University of Miami School of Law in December 2023.
Curtis Culvert, meantime, comes to MSW as an associate and will focus his practice on land use and redevelopment matters, according to a news release. In this role, he will advise clients throughout New Jersey on all aspects of the entitlement process, having earned his law degree from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and his undergraduate degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Also joining as an associate is Samuel List, who will focus on commercial real estate and finance matters, the news release. He will support the firm’s attorney in representing lenders and borrowers in connection with the negotiation of commercial mortgage and construction loans, and other transactional real estate matters, including the acquisition, disposition and leasing of all asset classes.
List received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin.
“We are incredibly excited to have Jessica, Curtis and Sam join our growing team,” said Kellen F. Murphy, the firm’s managing partner. “Our ability to continue to attract top-level talent is a testament to our vision of building a top tier boutique law firm focused solely on commercial real estate and development.”
