NAI James E. Hanson has promoted a veteran broker, recognizing his role in dozens of deals in recent years and his growing roster of institutional clients.
The Teterboro-based firm said Christopher Todd, who joined its team in 2013, represents both local businesses and national players such as AEW, Ares Industrial Management and Bridge Logistics Properties, among others. He works closely on a team with industry veteran Scott Perkins and recent addition William Ericksen, having helped complete more than 60 transactions with institutional clients valued at nearly $400 million since 2017.
He will look to build on that business in his new role as managing director, institutional services.
“In his time at NAI James E. Hanson, Chris’ leadership and vision have allowed us to expand our capabilities as invaluable solutions providers to the institutional community,” said William C. Hanson, president of NAI James E. Hanson. “I am excited to watch Chris continue to grow his national reputation for superior service to the institutional community and build upon his impressive track record of success in this new role.”
Todd’s other institutional clients in the region have included Brookfield Corp., CenterPoint Properties, Realterm and Terreno Realty Corp. In addition to his new role with NAI Hanson, he currently serves as secretary for the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors’ New Jersey chapter and provides in-depth insights on a variety of topics impacting the New Jersey commercial real estate market alongside Perkins in their quarterly video series, “The Brokers,” as well as a monthly podcast under the same title.
“Throughout the past decade, northern New Jersey has emerged as one of the most highly coveted industrial markets nationwide,” Todd said. “However, the market’s intense competition and complexity can pose challenges for institutional investors aiming to penetrate it. I take great pride in collaborating with our institutional clients and am excited to continue to provide the indispensable market insights and strategic guidance they need to make well-informed choices and achieve their real estate objectives.”
