A new 80,000-square-foot ambulatory care center is rising in Clifton as part of what will be another addition to Prism Capital Partners’ mixed-use ON3 campus.
The firm, the master developer of the 116-acre campus, announced last week that crews have erected steel at the planned Hackensack Meridian Health facility on the southeast corner of Metro Boulevard and Route 3. The milestone comes alongside the recent completion of the parking structure, Prism said, while full delivery of the project is slated for November.
ON3 is also home to Hackensack Meridian Health’s School of Medicine and Center for Discovery and Innovation, a National Institutes of Health-designated Clinical Research Center.
“It is exciting to see this much-anticipated campus addition taking shape,” said Prism’s Eugene Diaz, a principal partner with the firm. “Hackensack Meridian Health was our very first tenant at ON3, and its presence has grown here continually with new and expanding operations. We are proud to partner with this health care leader on their mission to deliver the highest-quality services to the community.”
Prism Construction Management is developing the four-story ambulatory care center, which will include multispecialty practice areas and potentially an ambulatory surgical center, according to a news release. Designed by Gensler to provide an end-to-end, hospitality-driven patient experience, the facility will have a distinctive glass curtain wall façade, double-height entry and daylight-enriched spaces, while the attached parking structure will serve both occupants and visitors.
RockBrook is the project’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer.
When complete, the facility will join some 1.45 million square feet of fully occupied office, education and research and development space at ON3, a former Hoffmann-LaRoche pharmaceutical campus in Nutley and Clifton that Prism has repurposed as a mixed-use destination for corporations and health care. Occupants also include Eisai Inc., Quest Diagnostics, The Ralph Lauren Corp., Seton Hall University’s Graduate College of Nursing and School of Health and Medical Sciences, Modern Meadow and Y-mAbs Therapeutics.
