Westrock Coffee, together with Tempus Realty Partners, are planning a 530,000-square-foot distribution facility in Conway, Ark. Tempus Realty Partners was represented by Colliers during the project’s agreement. According to Talk Business & Politics, the proposed budget of the new distribution center is around $70 million.
The industrial building will be occupied by Westrock Coffee in its entirety and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. This new project is expected to fully support Westrock Coffee’s production, distribution, and packaging needs. While continuing its expansion, the company also has another development underway in Conway, a manufacturing center project. According to the source mentioned earlier, roasting to ready-to-drink facility is expected to begin operations in 2024.
The 30-acre development site is situated off William J. Clark Drive, close to Interstate 40, 2.2 miles away from Westrock Coffee’s manufacturing center, 30 miles from Little Rock, Ark., and within 35 miles of Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport. The new facility will be equipped with 36-foot clear heights, ESFR sprinkler systems and nearly 72 dock doors.
Lighthouse Asset Advisors’ Asset Manager Ted Dickey worked on behalf of Westrock Coffee during the development agreement. Another project is moving forward in the area: In June 2022, CRG started construction on its nearly 1.2 million-square-foot, build-to-suit industrial project in North Little Rock, Ark. The $105 million facility is expected to be delivered this quarter.
