Finn Wentworth

Real estate magnate and philanthropist Finn Wentworth is among 50 nominees for this year’s New Jersey Hall of Fame public vote, joining a high-profile list of famous artists, business leaders and other public figures with ties to the Garden State.
According to the organization, residents can vote through May 19 at VoteHallofFame.com to help shape the final slate of inductees announced in July. Wentworth, who is nominated in the Enterprise category, is the co-founder of influential real estate firms such as Gale & Wentworth and Normandy Real Estate Partners, while he was recognized in 2015 with NAIOP New Jersey’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Wentworth also has deep ties to the region’s sports and entertainment sector as the former president of what was known as YankeesNets LLC, now Yankee Global Enterprises, and as a key player in the launch of the YES Network.
Other nominees this year range from actor Paul Rudd, former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber and Josh Weston, the former CEO of ADP, to WNBC Chief Meteorologist Janice Huff and Col. John Stevens III, a lawyer, engineer and inventor who constructed the first U.S. steam locomotive. The New Jersey Hall of Fame will hold its 15th annual induction ceremony in October at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.
“We are honored to spotlight the wealth of successful and talented individuals in our state,” said The Hampshire Cos. Chairman Jon F. Hanson, who was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2018 and now chairs the organization. “Each year we develop this list of remarkable nominees, we come away more inspired and influenced by the power of New Jerseyans.”
