A yoga studio is expanding its footprint in the region with a new lease at an Old Bridge shopping center, in a newly announced deal by Levin Management Corp.
The operator, Grace Yoga, is taking 1,500 square feet at Route 9 Plaza, bringing the 26,000-square-foot property to full occupancy. It marks the second location for Grace Cairns, who founded the business in 2020 and focuses mostly on hot yoga, offering classes, workshops and services designed to help clients better connect the mind, body and spirit.
LMC Leasing Representative Kendal Hand-Freda represented ownership, while Michael Sclafani of RE/MAX Central represented the tenant.
“Yoga is beneficial to all ages, fitness levels and degrees of flexibility,” Cairns said. “Many of our existing students come from the Old Bridge area, making Route 9 Plaza a perfect fit for our second studio location. We are excited to open here and look forward to being a community-based studio that encourages everyone to enjoy the many benefits a yoga workout provides.”
In a news release, LMC said Grace Yoga is the second boutique fitness concept to lease space at Route 9 Plaza this year. The property sites at the intersection of Route 9 and Throckmorton Lane and is also home to AutoZone, Tots & Blocks Academy and a hair salon, serving a growing residential population of more than 54,000 within a three-mile radius.
“The addition of Grace Yoga complements Route 9 Plaza’s tenant mix, which also features the center’s newest addition, circuit-based group training concept SETS Hybrid Training,” Hand-Freda said. “Having these two distinctive fitness options in one convenient location will allow local consumers to diversify their daily and weekly fitness routines.”
